China’s economic expansion is slowing, and growth for this year has been revised downwards.

China’s GDP is forecast to increase by 6.2% on an annual basis this year, according to the OECD. This represents a 0.1 percentage point fall from the organisation’s previous 2019 forecast, issued in November 2018. China’s economy expanded by 6.6% last year, and growth is forecast to slow further next year, to 6%.
