China Huadian is looking to cement its status as the country’s leading gas-fired power generator by adding as much gas-fired capacity over the next five years as it did over the past decade, according to a company executive.

Gas-to-power is a core business for state-owned Huadian, said Xie Chunwang, chief executive of subsidiary China Huadian Green Energy, at the 10th Asia LNG Summit in Beijing last week.
