
The ousting of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff will not be a cure-all for the beleaguered Petrobras, two experts have told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.
The lower house of Brazil’s Congress voted to begin impeachment proceedings against Rousseff on 17 April. The president’s opponents accuse her of using accounting tricks to fund Brazil’s huge welfare programmes before last year’s general election. The impeachment process has now passed to Brazil’s upper house, the Federal Senate.
