NGVs losing to EVs in European policy proposals

Mooted bans on all fossil fuel vehicles in both the Netherlands and Norway would be a major loss to the NGV industry, which is still in its infant stage in Europe.

The Dutch Labour party (PvdA) put forward a motion at the end of March banning all sales of non-electric cars from 2025. This has passed through the lower house of the Dutch parliament but faces strong opposition from the cabinet, which said it will not propose legislation.
