EV industry confident of victory over NGVs

The rapid rate at which electric vehicle (EV) technology is progressing means NGVs are unlikely to ever become an alternative to petrol-powered cars in the developed world, according to industry executives.

The window of opportunity for NGVs to gain a foothold in the passenger vehicle market is closing fast, said Simon Hingley, senior business development manager at engineering and automotive consultancy Horiba Mira.
