India plans to introduce a new law designed to improve foreign access to gas infrastructure and ensure the country’s public utilities benefit from a consistent regulatory approach.

The draft regulatory reform bill of 2013 was put out for public consultation in June last year by the National Institution for Transforming India Aayog (NITI Aayog), a thinktank established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
