Europe imported more LNG from the United States in the first four months of 2019 than it did during the whole of 2018, according to data released by the European Commission on Thursday.

The data shows that 35% of the LNG exported by the US went to Europe in the first four months of 2019. The US had sent 48 cargoes as of 24 April, equivalent to around 4.6 billion cubic metres of regasified gas. Last year, the US sent 37 cargoes – or 3.3 bcm...
