China’s gas output increased by 9.9% year on year in Q1 2019, to 44.1 billion cubic metres, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced on Sunday. The increase represents a considerable improvement over the growth of 4.2% seen in Q1 2018 and indicates Chinese gas production will maintain strong momentum in 2019-2020.
