Concerns over power supply shortages in Belgium this winter have eased after additional measures were proposed by the government and industry to tackle the situation, Belgian grid operator Elia said in a note on Tuesday. The measures include restarting a retired 260 MW gas-fired power plant in Vilvoorde outside Brussels and postponing the maintenance period for the Tihange 1 nuclear reactor.
