Manufacturers in China’s southeastern city of Quanzhou are renewing protests against high gas prices set by a subsidiary of ENN Energy Holdings, one of the country’s largest gas distributors.

Companies in the city, a port in Fujian province that has made ceramics for centuries, are unhappy over the high tariff of RMB 2.98 per cubic metre ($13/MMBtu) set by Quanzhou City Gas, the sole distributor and a joint venture 60%-held by ENN.
