Morocco will launch a tender next week to choose a commercial adviser that will provide guidance for its LNG-to-power project. The winner will advise the government on LNG supply arrangements and make recommendations on several key aspects of the project, a Moroccan official has told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.

The giant project will feature an onshore LNG terminal at the Atlantic port of Jorf Lasfar that will be capable of importing 5 billion cubic metres per year. The facility will feed several combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants.
