No respite for Aussie industry as LNG saps market

Eastern Australia’s gas consumption will quadruple by 2020, driven entirely by production ramp-ups at Queensland’s three new LNG export facilities. 

But although this may look rosy from an export perspective, local users are concerned the dominance of LNG will exacerbate supply shortages in the domestic market and push up prices.
