Upbeat for Qatari LNG exports

Qatar is adamant about remaining a dominant LNG supplier next decade and beyond. The latest announcement that the country intends to expand its liquefaction capacity to 126 mtpa by 2027 from around 77 mtpa currently says it all. The development came around a month after Qatar’s energy minister and chief executive of Qatar Petroleum (QP), Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, said the company is not aggressive enough in its growth strategy.
