The key issue: Karpowership, a subsidiary of Turkish energy company Karadeniz Holding, is in talks to provide electricity to Morocco via one of its floating power plants. If successful, Morocco would become the company’s seventh customer in Africa.  

Interfax analysis: Talks between Morocco and Turkish company Karpowership over the deployment of a floating power plant to the African country could signal a redesign is on the cards for the long-delayed Jorf Lasfar LNG project – so far conceived as an onshore terminal.
