Russia’s Novatek gained a foothold in UK LNG imports last year, according to figures from the UK government. The UK imported around 17% of its LNG from Russia in 2018 compared with none the year before, while imports of LNG from Qatar and piped gas from Norway fell on an annual basis, new data shows.
