Brazil will buy most of the first batch of LNG cargoes from the Sabine Pass liquefaction plant in the United States, experts have told Natural Gas Daily. The cargoes are likely to have a high ethane content, but it is unclear if this is a factor in the trade.

"I believe a total of six to eight Sabine Pass commissioning cargoes will go to Brazil," Andres Rojas, an LNG analyst at IHS Waterborne, told NGD last week. NGD understands that there will be up to 10 commissioning cargoes from Sabine Pass.
