The key issue: Woodside is pressing on with plans to link up Pluto LNG with the North West Shelf LNG plant at Karratha to commercialise a new wave of offshore gas resources for export.

Interfax analysis: Woodside this week took FID on a 3.3-km gas interconnector that will link its 4.9 mtpa Pluto LNG plant with the neighbouring 17.6 mtpa North West Shelf (NWS) facility at Karratha in the north of Western Australia (WA).
