Poland is strengthening its energy ties with Washington by selecting a United States-based manufacturer to supply key equipment for the Baltic Pipe project.
US manufacturer Solar Turbines will supply 10 gas turbine units with capacities of 5-10 MW to Polish grid operator Gaz-System to help transport Norwegian gas through Baltic Pipe. The units will be delivered within 18 months and installed in the Polish gas compressor stations at Odolanow, Goleniow and Gustorzyn – the last of which is currently under construction.
