Oil Search confirmed on Tuesday that the start of FEED work on the expansion of Papua New Guinea’s PNG LNG plant has been pushed back from Q2 2019 to the end of the year as fiscal terms need to be defined with the government.

This will delay an FID on the project from sometime in H1 2020 until late 2020 or early 2021. There is a danger of further slippage as the government continues to seek better fiscal terms from resource projects in the country, adding...
