Growth in China’s gas demand and imports appeared to slow sharply last month, but the data suggests demand from the city-gas sector remains robust.
China’s gas consumption reached 22.16 billion cubic metres in June 2019, according to preliminary figures from the Chongqing Petroleum and Gas Exchange (CQPGX) in a report published on Thursday. This represented an increase of 8.50% from estimated demand of 20.43 bcm in June 2018.
