Upbeat for Jamaica’s gas demand

Gas will continue to make inroads in Jamaica as the country reduces its dependence on oil and oil products, especially in its power sector. Jamaica is new to gas – the country does not produce the fuel and only started importing LNG in November 2016. Jamaica’s consumption of the fuel is currently modest, but demand from the power and industrial sectors is rising.
