The key issue: Buenos Aires gave permits in May to allow three more companies to export Argentine gas to Chile. Further requests are expected to be approved in the next few weeks from Total, YPF and Pan American.

Interfax analysis: Chile is proving a reliable customer for Argentina’s seasonal gas surplus. But larger markets will be needed if Argentine output keeps growing.
