The key issue: An agreement on the renewal of the gas transit contract between Ukraine and Russia’s Gazprom is not likely to be signed before the end of the year, delegates at the Flame conference in Amsterdam heard on Tuesday.

Interfax analysis: The lack of clarity on when and if the gas transit contract between Ukraine and Russia will be renewed risks causing price spikes and supply disruptions on the European market in early 2020.
