Colder temperatures support European hub prices

Colder temperatures have finally hit Europe and are providing some support to regional hub prices. On Tuesday, the NBP day-ahead was over 33 p/th ($4.83/MMBtu) for the first time since mid-December. Prices at other European hubs, including the TTF, bounced at the end of December. The TTF day-ahead briefly cleared 33 p/th before dropping to around 31 p/th at the end of the month. The start of January has seen a slight recovery on the Continent, with day-ahead prices at the TTF close to 32 p/th.
