Twenty-five companies have made successful expressions of interest to supply the Vassiliko FSRU offshore Cyprus, despite the vessel’s small regasification capacity.
Several of the interested companies, such as Naturgy, Shell, Total and Vitol, either buy LNG from the United States or have signed contracts with US plants this year. US-based Cheniere is also among the companies hoping to supply the terminal, is due online by the end of 2021. Other bidders include Equinor, Osaka Gas, Sonatrach and Novatek.
