Transborders Energy has signed an information-sharing memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japan’s Osaka Gas related to its FLNG project offshore Western Australia (WA), the Australian company announced on Monday.

Osaka Gas is one of a number of established utilities under pressure from competitors and the falling prices in Japan’s deregulated gas market. This MOU marks a departure from its previous investment strategy.
