Angola’s government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with United States-based private equity-backed group New Fortress Energy to build the country’s first LNG terminal.

New Fortress Energy, founded in 2014, is developing an FSRU project in Jamaica and also developing an onshore terminal and accompanying power plant in Mexico.
