Winter prices on the NBP forward curve jump further

The UK’s Rough gas storage facility, which accounts for more than 70% of the country’s storage capacity, was shut at the start of the month for safety reasons. This pushed up peak winter prices on the NBP forward curve, but peak winter prices have jumped even further – to around 50 p/th ($6.60/MMBtu) – following news that Rough will not reopen until March or April next year.
