Shanghai-listed Jiangsu Yulong Pipe plans to pay RMB 24.6 million ($3.96 million) for a 60% stake in Xiangshui Zhongyou Ziyuan Gas, a gas distributor in Yancheng, Jiangsu province.
The distributor is expected to supply 80 million cubic metres (MMcm) of gas in 2018, rising to 100 MMcm in 2019 and 150 MMcm in 2020.
Yulong Pipe said the purchase will help its expansion into the energy industry.
