Gazprom to supply LNG to Egypt’s EGAS

Gazprom Global LNG has signed a framework agreement to supply 35 LNG cargoes to state-owned Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. (EGAS) over a period of five years, beginning in 2015.

“Both parties are in the final stages of concluding the terms of a long-term commercial arrangement,” Gazprom Marketing and Trading said in a press release on Tuesday.

EGAS has also signed contracts with Trafigura for 33 cargoes over the next two years, while Noble Group will ship seven cargoes over two years starting in April and Vitol will ship nine cargoes over two years from June.

Egypt has also made a deal to import six cargoes from Algeria between April and September.
