Italy aiming to be Med hub for LNG bunkering

Italy is planning a network of LNG coastal storage sites to tap maritime traffic transiting the Mediterranean, the economy ministry’s Gilberto Dialuce tells Interfax Natural Gas Daily

Italy has big plans for LNG bunkering services, according to Gilberto Dialuce, director general for supply security and energy infrastructure at Italy’s Ministry of Economic Development. Dialuce told Interfax Natural Gas Daily about the scheme, which was relaunched recently with Italy’s new National Energy Strategy (NES).
