Algeria could be importing LNG in 20 years’ time

Algeria is doing too little, too late to prevent the demise of its gas sector, which could leave the country needing to import LNG in less than two decades’ time, Nordine Ait-Laoussine, the country’s former energy minister, has said.

Politics and bureaucracy have crippled Algeria’s ability to attract foreign investment, Ait-Laoussine told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.
