Chinese power demand has continued to grow in recent months and is expected to see strong gains in September and Q4. Hotter-than-average temperatures hit parts of the country during the summer, which helped to drive up power consumption. Consumption rose by 6.8% year on year in July with total demand between January and July increasing by 9%, to 3,877.5 TWh.
