Electricity consumption in the United States is forecast to fall from its winter peak over the coming weeks, in line with seasonal trends. However, power consumption is expected to remain higher than last year as temperatures in key areas such as the Northeast are expected to stay below seasonal averages in April. Further warnings of snow storms and severe weather were also still in place in some areas.
