Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia are starting to ease. Average prices for August delivery are expected to be around $10/MMBtu, with summer prices having already peaked. Greater supplies of spot LNG from new projects in the region are helping to pull prices down.
European hub prices are continuing to receive supply-side support. Weak output, maintenance and strong storage injections are helping to provide a floor to prices despite low levels of demand. The NBP month-ahead was around 57-58 p/th by the middle of July.
