Storage builds supported imports into Northeast Asia ahead of summer.

South Korea had around 2.1 bcm of gas in stock at the start of May 2018, down by 8% compared with the average for the previous three years. While lower levels of gas in store helped to drive up the country’s need for imports earlier in the year, the need for gas for storage builds has since eased.
