
Kjell-Boerge Freiberg became Norway’s new energy minister on 31 August. He told Interfax Natural Gas Daily he is committed to preserving Norway’s role as a major gas supplier to Europe by keeping a stable and predictable framework and awarding new prospective acreage in the northern areas of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) and in the Barents Sea.
