Norway produced more gas than expected in 2017 as a result of high demand from Europe. Total sales amounted to 124.2 billion cubic metres, which is a new record, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) announced last week.
Sales in 2017 were 6.6% higher than had been estimated at the same time the previous year, the agency noted. “This is due, in part, to consistently high demand for gas from Europe....
