Directional impact on forecast:
Positive for Oman’s gas production

The startup of the Khazzan project has boosted Oman’s gas production and LNG exports. Meanwhile, the Rabab Harweel Integrated Project (RHIP) and a new discovery at the Mabrouk non-associated gas acreage could significantly increase the sultanate’s gas output. Nevertheless, Oman’s LNG plant at Qalhat has been operating near capacity and there is limited scope to substantially boost domestic gas demand. This could cause delays to upstream projects or result in them being under-utilised.
