Trinidad and Tobago’s energy minister, Franklin Khan, has hailed the country’s recently struck deal to import Venezuelan gas as a “win-win” situation.
“This provides an ideal opportunity for Trinidad and Venezuela. If I can say so, I think it is a marriage made in heaven,” Khan was quoted as saying by local press.
The commercial terms of the deal have not been made available, but Khan said the gas would be “competitively priced”.
