South Asia is set for major growth in LNG imports. Supported by new infrastructure and supply contracts, imports will jump between now and the end of the decade. India is already the fourth-largest global LNG importer, and has plans for considerable market expansion. Pakistan has seen marked growth since it started importing LNG in 2015 and has plans for additional terminals.
