Cameroon is set to start exporting LNG soon following the startup of the Hilli Episeyo FLNG vessel.
Cameroon will be West Africa’s fourth LNG exporter after Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Angola, and exports from the country will increase the market glut. The Hilli Episeyo has four trains but only the first two – which have a combined capacity of 1.2 mtpa – have been contracted. Its output will double if the other two trains are contracted.
