Nigeria will increase its presence on the spot market as competition for LNG intensifies in Asia and Europe.
Nigeria is the biggest exporter of LNG in sub-Saharan Africa and the second-biggest exporter of the fuel in the MEA. The country is focusing on boosting its LNG exports as they generate vital revenue. However, competition is ratcheting up in Asia and Europe, the key markets for Nigerian LNG. The two regions accounted for almost 76% of Nigeria’s LNG exports in the first two months of 2018.
