
Bidders who booked capacity on the Romania-Hungary segment of the proposed Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria (BRUA) gas pipeline have exercised their step-back option – a move that, somewhat paradoxically, represents a positive step towards the completion of the project.
Hungarian transmission system operator FGSZ said on Tuesday that it would hold a new binding capacity auction, the results of which will be published on 28 January. But this new phase will not grant a step-back option to interested bidders.
