Low stocks in Northeast Asia will support demand for gas for rebuilds.
South Korea had around 2.3 bcm of gas in storage at the peak of winter, 29% below the average for the past three years. Although the volumes required for rebuilds will not be sufficient to cause a year-on-year rise in LNG imports over the coming months, they will provide some support to imports.
