Qatar’s plans to boost production from its North Dome non-associated gas acreage are progressing well.

In May, Qatar Petroleum awarded US engineering company McDermott a detailed design contract for offshore jackets in the southern sector of the North Dome field. This is part of a major project consisting of six wellhead platforms, jackets, associated intra-field lines and main trunklines to shore.
