Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia are rising as summer approaches and the market tightens. Average prices for June delivery are around $8.2/MMBtu and prices for July delivery will average around $8.5/MMBtu, according to GGA forecasts.
European hub prices have been supported by weak indigenous production and high demand for gas to rebuild stocks as well as rising oil prices. The NBP month-ahead was around 58 p/th by mid-May.
