Europe & Russia Trade
May 2018
Russian flows to Europe are expected to continue to increase in May, but at a reduced rate.
Russia’s piped gas exports to Europe are expected to rise by 1.5% on an annual basis in May, to reach 15.3 bcm. This is slower growth than the 5.4% year-on-year increase in exports seen in April, when flows to Europe reached 15.9 bcm. Weaker consumption in Europe and maintenance on the Blue Stream, Ukraine lines and Yamal pipeline will cap flows from Russia to Europe in May.
