Subsidy-driven industrial demand and the ramp-up of gas-fired power plants will boost the utilisation of Pakistan’s two LNG terminals over the coming months.

The country’s second terminal, developed by Pakistan GasPort (PGP), has been operating at around 50% of its capacity for most of this year because its main intended customers – three new gas-fired power plants – have faced technical difficulties in starting up.
