
Pakistan’s GasPort (PGP) LNG terminal saw its imports increase significantly in June following the full commissioning in May of two combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants – its main customers.
The terminal imported six cargoes in June, which indicates it is operating at or close to capacity. It had previously received a maximum of three cargoes per month since starting up in November.
If the PGP terminal were to import six cargoes per month for the rest of 2018, Pakistan’s LNG imports would rise by around 60%...
